With over 20 years of experience Richard is known for driving significant income growth, producing informed and perceptive reviews, developing fundraising strategies and leading high-performing fundraising and engagement teams.

He is a former Director of Fundraising at Mencap and has held senior interim roles such as Director of Income at Citizens Advice, Director of Fundraising at CBUK, Director of Public Income at Greenpeace, Director of Fundraising at MHA and Director of Public Income and Engagement at RNIB.

As a consultant, interim or freelance leader, Richard quickly diagnoses what’s holding income back and builds practical strategies that teams can deliver. He has worked across a wide range of charities—from national charities to regional and specialist organisations—supporting them to build sustainable income. He is equally comfortable with hands-on delivery, senior stakeholder management, and mentoring teams through change.
